Senior Games Curling

Although this is late news, two of our golfers had success at the Ontario Senior Games, held in Cobourg late last month. In mixed curling, the team of Paul Desormeaux, Sue Morrow, Rene Germain, and Donna Todd won the Bronze Medal. Congratulations!

Locker room update

It's getting close to being finished. You'll have to come out and see the finished product in person. What a transformation!

Caribbean Vacation

Thank goodness work on the locker room was on hold waiting for tiling to be done, so Barb and Neil could enjoy their holiday in Saint Martin. They were relaxing here in front of David's Hole during their tour of the island. Thanks for sending.

Golf in New Zealand

Joan and Derek Hayward played this course in Christchurch, NZ, established in 1904. Interesting pricing - for 12 holes, instead of 9 as we would usually see. Joan mentioned dry conditions, similar to our drought last summer. Thanks for sending!

More vacation pictures

Laura and John Ebbrell stopped in to visit with Bridget and Doug Smith at The Forest Golf and Country Club before starting their Florida vacation.

Message from Patty and locker room pictures

Hi all

Wow, the renovations are almost finished in our locker room! We have a new bathroom       including toilets, sinks, flooring, countertop, and taps. You won't recognize the locker room as the lockers have been repositioned and painted. It's a new fresh look and will be ready for us to use by April.

Firstly I would like to thank Laura Roberge for being our voice at the board meeting. Also, Susan Meldrum, Tom Bullen, Neil Pemberton, Pete Wangen, and Jamie for pulling this together. Thanks to John and Laura Ebbrell who donated shelving for our towels. Lastly, thanks to Barb Pemberton for keeping me up to date with the progress of the reno and the pictures you see on the Blog.

I am looking forward to seeing our new digs when I return home from Myrtle Beach and I'm sure you are too.

Patty

Locker room

Here are a few more pictures showing some of the work being done on our locker room, including clean, inviting showers, a new layout, and a towel cabinet.

The Women's Section wants to thank Susan Meldrum for her time and talents for getting colours coordinated to perfection. Barb Pemberton, who sent the pictures noted that the colours do not show up accurately on the phone camera with the lighting in the room.

The new towel cabinet pictured below was built by John Ebbrell and donated to us by the Ebbrells. It will be placed across from the showers in the new layout in the locker room.

I'm sure you'll agree, we can't wait to see the finished product.
