TEAM PLAY

Our fifth year of Team Play produced the closest finish we have ever had. The top three teams finished within 2 points of each other. As Tracey pointed out, "That could be 2 people playing or not playing sometime in the season!" In first place earning 128 points were Sweet Baby Janes. The two teams tied for second with 126 points were Lynn's Luscious Ladies and Par Tee Pals.

Members of Sweet Baby Janes, L to R: Lynn Attley, Laura Ebbrell, Captain Jane Gibbens, Claudia van der Meulen, Lynda Rennick, Susan Ross-Foster, Betty Bright. Missing: Ann Hall, Christine Kwiatkowski, Ene Milner.

Members of both second place teams, L to R: Linda MacDonald, Maureen Aho, Moneen Smith, Donna Todd, Shirley Harrison, Yvonne Shannon, Ariane Macdonald, Barb Pemberton, Anne Parks, Tracey Bodashefsky, Jeanne Beaith. Missing Captains Lynn Marie Johnston and Laura Roberge plus Anne Coulson, Anita Friedrich, Dale Hodge, Helen Lee, Laurie Pudwell, Mary Lou Secord, Janet Hull, Sally Okazawa, Annabel Thorpe.

MVP from Gail's Gr8 Gals;

And the lucky keeper of Harry is Diane Moffat!
Doesn't she look thrilled?

Congratulations to the Gages Creek Herons for winning the 2018 Solheim Cup!

Worth noting - there were no sweeps of points and everyone contributed to their team totals. Well done players!

Solheim Update:

Good news, Bad News!

There has been a good number of people signed up for the Solheim Cup for this Saturday, September 15th! The bad news, more Herons than Falcons are able to play this year.

My plan is to make the draw on Thursday. So, to make teams even, some Herons will become Falcons this year.

Cost is $5...cash.

A message from Games Captain, Barb:

The Women’s Section is selling raffle tickets for a $100 Best Buy Gift Card with all proceeds going to the Golf for the Cure event on Sunday, September 16. Tickets are $5 each and will be sold until Sept 16, and the winner will be drawn on that day. Please see Patty or Barb for tickets. Money from the sale of these tickets, along with $135 raised from the golf scratch tickets we sold at the Devil’s Tournament, will be donated in memory of all our Dalewood golfing friends we have lost to cancer.

Saturday September 8 is the final day eligible for scores to be submitted for the Achievement Boards. You have until Tuesday September 11 to submit your slips for play up until the 8th of Sept.

Obviously this was the best spot on #9 to sink the "longest" putt from - or a new game, croquet-golf.
