Mickey Ayres Putting Contest
The Mickey Ayres putting competition
is an 18-hole single elimination stroke play contest played against an opponent
on the practice putting green in front of the clubhouse. The two players will agree on the set up of the holes so six continuous holes are available. A
player may not practice on the putting green immediately prior to the
game. Players may agree to set a practice
time before beginning the game. The winner
of a coin toss decides who putts first.
Play starts at the 6th hole to go to the 1st hole. Players will then play 17 more holes holes in that way. (1st to 2nd; 2nd to 3rd, etc. You will finish at the 6th.) The player with the lowest number of putts
wins. If tied at the end of 18 holes, the match shall
be decided by sudden death.
Avoid putting on Thursday and Saturday - the practice green is too busy. Be respectful of others using the putting green.
