Doubles Match Play
You and a partner play a match against two other players in a better-ball format. Each player plays her own ball. We use 90% of everyone's handicap - the Golf Canada website has a built-in calculator for the Playing Handicap. The lowest handicap plays at a zero handicap and her handicap is subtracted from all other players’ handicaps. Strokes are then taken according to the handicap holes on the card. Only one score is recorded per team per hole and the best team score wins the hole in match play format.
If tied at the end of 18 holes, the match shall be decided over three holes starting on the front, and if still tied, shall continue for another three holes, and continue in that manner until settled.
