Laura and René were golfing with their Panama City Beach buddies. Laura shot 84 on this day!!

Sandi and Claudia competed this week in the Ontario 55+ Games in Huntsville. They represented District 12, which is this area and Peterborough. Seven of the women were from Cobourg and they qualified at a tournament in November. 12 teams applied to go and 8 got in. They won their pool of four teams (undefeated and with no goals against!) and advanced to the final where they won the Gold Medal game 2-1.
This qualifies them for the Canadian Senior Games in Kamloops in 2020. (The delay is because the winter Games only happen every two years.)

Tracey and Eldon were happy to be hosting Shirley for a few days in Myrtle Beach. Here are Patty, Shirley, and Tracey on the Fazio Course at Barefoot Resort on a gorgeous day. "We even managed a couple of birdies."

But more importantly, Susan R-F and Ene were there as well. They travelled 5 miles straight up in an open air cable car to visit the Golden Hands Bridge in Viet Nam.

Laura and John are enjoying some golf with Bridget and Doug at Crown Colony GC 

in very hot Fort Myers, FL. 

After Diane and Sandi finished their second "Nancy Lopez Adventure" in California, they met up with Mary Lou and Lynn Marie. They enjoyed a round at Los Robles GC in Thousand Oaks and some "Dalewood camaraderie" afterwards.

On our way home from Florida we stopped at one of my favourite places: Pinehurst, NC. The weather cooperated nicely with a high of 80F on February7!!  We played the new 9-hole par 3 course, called "The Cradle". The green fee allows you to play all day and kids under 18 play for free. We played at 9am and had the course to ourselves until the 17th hole! If you are ever there, you have to try the 18 hole putting green called "Thistle Dhu". The whole experience exceeded expectations, again!
