What's wrong with these pictures?

Leaving rakes like this is a pet peeve of mine. Our group actually encountered three like this on Tuesday (#'s 4, 12, 15) and one of us hit the one on #4 and it deflected the shot. I am going to assume that none of our women is so careless as to place a rake in direct line with someone approaching a green. Even if you're not in the bunker and you see a rake like this, move it behind the bunker for the next group.

Speaking of bunker etiquette, we all know to leave a bunker in better shape than when we found it, but also remember to enter and leave a bunker from the lowest point, even if it means a few extra steps.

Thanks to Joan for the photo of this happy family making their way across #14 to the pond on #13.

Hope you all remembered to sign up for Opening Field Day.
See you Sunday!

Sandi captured a great shot of our resident Rocky/Rockette Racoon on #7.

Hello Everyone,

As we mentioned at our Annual Christmas Dinner, it’s time to think about playing euchre!

The Dalewood Women’s Section is holding a fun afternoon of Progressive Euchre on Sunday, January 28th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm in the upper hall at Dalewood.

Everyone is welcome – bring a friend.  Watch for the Google Doc sign up sheet later this week.

Cost is $20.00 which will cover prizes and snacks.  Doors open at 11:15 with registration and bar open at 11:30 and play starts at 12 sharp.

You do not require a partner as this will be organized on the day, and your playing partner also changes as the afternoon progresses.

There is limited space, so please sign up as soon as possible to guarantee your spot at a table.  The sign up deadline is January 24th at noon.

If you have any questions, please email Sue Morrow at  sumorrow@cogeco.ca

DWS Christmas Dinner - Dec 8

 2023 Christmas Dinner

It was a great evening at Dalewood with our Women's Section celebrating the Christmas season together. Jen put on her usual delicious Christmas spread. Ham, turkey, all the fixings and loads of desserts!!

This was one of the centrepieces (one donated by Sue and one anonymously) drawn to winner Penny Watson. Diane Arsenault won the other one. Thanks to Susan R-F for the photo.

We collected socks again for Jordan's sock drive.
We added 157 pairs to her goal of 10,000 this year.

The Women's Section is once again hosting a Progressive Euchre Party on
Sunday, Jan 28th at Dalewood from 12 - 3pm. Save the date!

Lost and found, socks and books

Do any of these things belong to you? Sandi and Kevin found them in lockers in the women's locker room at the club. If you recognize these items as yours, please contact Kevin.

If you are coming to the Christmas Dinner on Friday night, don't forget your donation of new socks for Sandi and books for our "library".
