A message from Anne Parks, our Tuesday convenor:

TUESDAY WOMEN’S LEAGUE
A Gentle REMINDER
It would be appreciated if participants remember the protocol for the Tuesday Women’s League.
When there is a team play day, two (2) cards need to be completed in your group. One goes in the green box at the tenth hole or is handed in at the Pro Shop, so the scores can be entered into the system for team results.
The second card, for the Toonie game, needs to be filled in and those scores transposed to the sign-in sheet you used to indicate your $2 payment and whether you are staying for dinner. I have received sign-in sheets with only the total score for 9 holes. Also, several participants have neglected to put in their ½ handicaps.
Incomplete cards forego their chances for winnings. You would not want that!
Then after all that is done, we expect you to enter each and every game on the computer so you have an accurate handicap. Keep in mind we are using ESC (see below) for Team Play, the Toonie game, and the score that goes in the computer for handicap..

Finally, here is a short description of ESC and what an adjusted score means.
WHAT IS EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL (ESC)?
Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is the downward adjustment of individual hole scores (the adjusted score) for handicap purposes to make Handicap Factors more representative of a player's potential scoring ability. It sets a maximum number that a golfer can post on any hole depending on the player's Course Handicap. It also is a way of recognizing that any golfer can have what I fondly refer to as blow-up holes and thus helps to alleviate the angst that can cause thereby making for a more enjoyable game.
