Good luck to all the women participating in the Club Championship this weekend. In preparation, several took part in the Skills Challenge on Friday evening. Thanks to Dave for setting it all up!!

The Dalewood Women's Club Championship is coming this weekend. An overall champion is declared, plus three age division champs (50+, 60+, and 70+) and three flight winners. Only front 9, back 9, and total scores are posted - no individual hole scores will be seen. Cost is $40, which includes the dinner on Sunday and prizes.

New this year: The Dalewood Women's Section Eclectic (formerly the Mary Buckley) will be played on Saturday and Sunday as well. You count the best score on each hole over two days and subtract your handicap. You are allowed to pick up if your maximum score is reached and your scores will not be posted. We need 5 people to participate in this event in order for it to run. The executive is trying to bring this fun event back (as requested on the survey) and encourage more participation in this "club" weekend.

All participants are invited to the Skills Challenge on Friday evening, starting at 6 pm. Putting, chipping, bunker shots, approach shots, and driving are some of the activities.

On Saturday, after the round, we have "Appetizers on the Balcony". Sign the sheet on the bulletin board, if you are staying for this. Cost is $10.

Even if you are not playing, you are welcome to come out to the Appetizers - just sign up. Obviously, you are welcome to come out and watch the golf anytime on the weekend.

For today (July 23) we are playing the ORANGE TEES. They are not rated yet, so no score can be posted in the computer. However, our Tuesday convenors are still having the Toonie games.

The yardages are approximate because the markers get moved around a little by the mowers and no blocks are in the ground yet.

2.   185                 11.   126 (red)
3.   220                 12.   170

Feedback will be welcome at any time - too long, too short, positioning on the hole? etc.

Breaking News:
Jane and Laurie have asked me to tell you we are playing the orange tees next Tuesday, July 23. It is not rated yet, so you will not be able to enter a score in the computer. The same maximum score applies. We will have games, so read the instructions in the pro shop and put your Toonie in the box.

Any feedback you'd like to give me after you have played the Family Tees is more than welcome for the Greens Committee.
